York’s ancient city walls can be reached in just 10 minutes’ walk, with a further 5 to 10 minutes’ walk taking guests to the historic attractions, including the spectacular York Minster. Alternatively there is a bus stop outside the hotel, and from there a bus in to town takes 3 minutes.
York Railway Station is just a 10-minute walk or few minutes by car, and the Elmbank has limited parking. There is also a bus stop near the hotel, with sightseeing tours going in to town. York Racecourse is a few minutes' away.
